Tral, May 23(KNZ/TMJ): Beneath the glowing lights of Khanqah Faiz Panah and the cold silence of the night, thousands of devotees gathered with heavy hearts and tearful eyes to observe the annual Urs of revered Sufi saint Mir Sayyid Ali Hamadani in Tral, where emotions overflowed and prayers seemed endless.

From Friday night till Saturday, the shrine witnessed heartbreaking scenes of devotion as people sat shoulder to shoulder in remembrance of Allah during the sacred Shab Khani. Some cried quietly in corners, some kept their heads lowered in silence, while others raised trembling hands toward the sky, asking for forgiveness, peace and relief from the unseen pain carried inside their hearts for years.

The sound of Quranic recitations and naat prayers filled the air as tears rolled down faces across the shrine premises. Elderly men could be seen wiping tears with shaking hands, mothers prayed endlessly for their children, and young devotees remained awake throughout the night, lost in prayers and spiritual reflection.

Many devotees described the gathering as a moment where hearts finally found a place to break in silence before Allah.

“When I sat inside the Khanqah, it felt as if every pain buried inside my chest came out through tears. I prayed, cried and remembered every sorrow of my life,” a devotee told Kashmir News Zone–The Media Journal, his voice breaking with emotion.

“A female devotee from Pulwama broke down in tears while speaking to Kashmir News Zone–The Media Journal, saying the spiritual atmosphere inside the Khanqah touched her heart deeply. ‘I came here carrying silent pain inside my heart, but when I raised my hands in prayer among thousands of crying devotees, I could not hold back my tears. It felt as if every broken soul here was asking Allah for mercy together,’ she said emotionally.”

Another devotee said the atmosphere during the night-long prayers was impossible to explain. “You could hear people crying beside you without knowing their pain. Everyone had tears in their eyes. It felt as if thousands of broken hearts had gathered in one place only to seek mercy from Allah,” he told Kashmir News Zone–The Media Journal.

Religious scholars addressing the gathering remembered the teachings of Shah-e-Hamdan (RA), saying his message of love, compassion and humanity still heals hearts even centuries later.

Throughout the night, volunteers served food, water and assistance to devotees without pause, while the shrine remained crowded with people seeking spiritual peace and comfort.

As the Urs concluded with collective prayers, emotional cries of “Ameen” echoed through the Khanqah, and many devotees left the shrine with tear-stained faces, silently carrying hopes that their prayers had been heard.(KNZ/TMJ)
