Ganderbal, June 14: As part of the comprehensive security arrangements for the forthcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra (SANJY)-2026, a joint mock drill was conducted today at Pandit Colony Wussan, falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Ganderbal.
The exercise was carried out by the Special Operations Group (SOG) Ganderbal in close coordination with Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) to assess operational preparedness, evaluate response capabilities, and strengthen inter-agency coordination in dealing with various security contingencies.
The mock drill simulated different security scenarios, enabling participating agencies to review standard operating procedures and ensure swift, coordinated responses during the Yatra period.
Ganderbal Police reiterated its commitment to ensuring a safe, secure, and peaceful Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra through continuous preparedness, regular exercises, and effective coordination among all stakeholders.
