Ganderbal Police Hold Anti-Drug Awareness Programmes, Rallies

Ganderbal, Apr 30: Ganderbal Police organised a series of anti-drug awareness programmes and rallies across the district under the “Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan,” officials said on Thursday.

An awareness programme and rally were held at Government Higher Secondary School, Hariganiwan, where SDPO Kangan Rajeev Raina addressed students and highlighted the harmful effects of substance abuse.

He urged the youth to stay away from drugs and contribute towards building a healthy society.

Similar programmes and rallies were conducted at Al-Huda Educational Institute, Safapora, and in Sonamarg, with participation from students, staff and members of the public.

Officials said the initiative aimed to sensitise participants about the dangers of drug addiction and emphasised the need for collective responsibility to curb the menace.

Police reiterated their commitment to intensify awareness drives and urged the public, particularly the youth, to cooperate in efforts to build a drug-free society.
