Ganderbal, June 28 (KNZ/TMJ): A girl is feared to have drowned after she accidentally slipped into a power canal in the Thune area of Kangan in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Sunday, prompting an intensive search operation by police, rescue teams and local volunteers.
“One girl accidentally slipped and fell into the power canal at Thune, Kangan. Police, rescue teams and local volunteers immediately launched a search operation to trace her,” an official told Kashmir News Zone – The Media Journal.
Soon after the incident, police and rescue teams reached the spot and launched a coordinated search operation. Local volunteers also joined the rescue efforts as teams continued searching the fast-flowing canal to trace the missing girl.
The search operation was continuing till the filing of this report, and further details were awaited.(KNZ/TMJ)
