Kulgam, May 14 (KNC): Continuing its drive under the “Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan,” Kulgam Police on the directions of SSP Kulgam, Shri Anayat Ali Chowdhary (IPS), carried out extensive checking and inspection of medical shops across the district to ensure strict compliance with prescribed regulations and prevent misuse of pharmaceutical drugs and intoxicants.
Police said that simultaneous narco raids and search operations were also conducted across the district to curb drug peddling, identify persons involved in narcotics-related activities, and dismantle the local drug network.
The drive was carried out with full determination as part of the sustained crackdown against the menace of drugs, police added.
Kulgam Police reiterated its commitment towards building a drug-free society and appealed to the public to cooperate with law enforcement agencies by sharing information related to drug abuse or drug trafficking. (KNC)
