Baramulla September 29: Continuing its sustained crackdown against illegal mining and transportation of minerals, Baramulla Police today conducted a raid at Delina Ghat, resulting in the seizure of five tractors found carrying illegally extracted sand.

The operation was carried out by Police Post Delina, during which the vehicles were intercepted and seized for their involvement in the illegal transportation of minor minerals. Necessary legal action under the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act (MMDR Act) has been initiated/taken as per law.

Police reiterates its commitment to curbing illegal mining activities and protecting public resources and the environment. Strict action will continue against individuals and vehicles found involved in illegal extraction, transportation or other violations under the applicable laws.
