Prompt resolution of public grievances receiving priority attention: Javid Dar

 

SRINAGAR, AUGUST 4: Minister for Agriculture Production, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Cooperative and Election Department, Javid Ahmad Dar, today met scores of individuals and delegations at the Civil Secretariat here and took stock of their issues and demands.

The Minister gave a patient hearing to the grievances projected by the visiting individuals and delegations, covering a range of issues related to service matters, fruit mandis, construction and improvement of lanes and drainage facilities, provision of houses for poor and deserving families under PMAY-G, crop insurance, market protection for apple growers and strengthening of rural infrastructure.

The delegations also sought effective measures to safeguard the interests of fruit growers, improve marketing facilities and ensure better infrastructure and basic amenities in rural areas.

Javid Dar assured the individuals and delegations that all genuine issues and demands would be examined on priority and taken up with the concerned departments for appropriate and timely action.

The Minister emphasized that the government is according priority attention to prompt resolution of public grievances and demands. The present administration is determined to responsive and people-centric governance, with focused attention on addressing public grievances and improving delivery of essential services, particularly in rural and farming areas.

He stressed the need for coordinated efforts by the concerned departments to ensure that legitimate public concerns are addressed efficiently and within a reasonable timeframe.
