Jammu, Sep 23 (GNS): A pigeon suspected to have flown in from across the border was found in R S Pura sector of Jammu district, officials said.

Officials told GNS that the bird was carrying a ring with a Pakistani mobile number inscribed on it. The pigeon was captured by locals who later handed it over to security forces.

Security agencies have taken cognizance of the matter and started investigation to ascertain the origin of the pigeon and the purpose behind the ring, they said.

Further investigation is underway.(GNS)
